THE COMPLETE PICTURE

A workflow built around the application.

LUMATEC SUPERLITE systems address different optical tasks. S 04 and F 05 deliver selected spectral ranges through light guides; M 05 offers interchangeable illumination heads; M 03 provides an elongated light source for surface relief and impressions. Select the source around the trace, substrate, observation method and documentation needs. Optical contrast helps locate an area for examination but does not by itself identify a biological fluid.

  • Specify portable illumination
  • Review surface relief and impressions

Spectral systems

S 04 and F 05 each provide ten spectral settings, but the filter ranges and power arrangements differ. S 04 uses a separate battery; F 05 integrates its battery and charger. Review exact ranges, light guide and photographic accessories as a complete configuration.

BEFORE YOU SPECIFY

Make the important connections.

01

Choose the optical task

Fluorescence observation, spectral contrast and relief illumination place different demands on the light source. Specify the substrate and trace types, camera arrangement and required spectral ranges.

02

Include the accessories

Light guides, viewing or camera filters, heads, mounting and power arrangements belong in the same specification. Use the manufacturer’s compatible optical protection and operating instructions.

03

Connect observation to analysis

Document an observed trace before choosing the next examination. Body-fluid marker assays and DNA workflows answer different questions from optical localisation.
